Chennai, March 25, 2026: Our team at SRM Global Hospitals recently did something that is exceptionally rare performing two back-to-back emergency surgeries to save both a mother and her baby.
A 32-week pregnant patient came to us unable to walk, with a critical spinal condition that had a window of only a few hours to treat. The team first delivered the baby safely, and immediately after, performed a complex spine surgery to prevent permanent paralysis. Today, the mother walks again and the baby is doing well.
